B.L.E.S.S.E.D

Thursday nights are swimming nights. After trying to find a pool that is not too conjested, the boy and I found some 1950s looking pool at Laverton, right in the middle of a neighbourhood. Well I am just exaggerating. More like 1980s. Old school, dodgy looking, with music on and slightly crappy looking side walls. I dislike pools with walls that have gaps. It somehow reminds of some piranha coming out from those gaps. Eeeeks but for the price and space, I can't complain. I even tried to shower there but realised there wasn't any door at the ladies. Meh!

Hmmm.. Jolvin decided to cook. It is 9.35pm and the food is still cooking. Looks like it's gonna be supper time.

I have been having a fairly rough week. Monday morning started with an accusation from a colleague from another department that I didn't do my job well. I was taken a back but in times like this, I realised who really watches my back. I was assured that it wasn't my fault. Then came Wednesday, just right after my team meeting, I went back to my office with my colleagues and a crazy academic/researcher came by and verbally abused me. Just because I was organizing her travel and required her to sign off some forms. I was stunned.

The thing that made me realised how much I am being cared for is when one of my colleague who was about 6 foot 2 stood in between us both so that the crazy person wouldn't come too near me. My colleagues tried to walk her out of the room and they closed the door. To be honest, I was fine until they both asked me, 'Are you ok?' There's something about this question when people ask me during a time of crisis/difficult encounter. I just teared for a few minutes. They both said, 'Jolyn, you are family so it's not ok for anyone to speak to you like this?' That affirmed the prayers I made when I left Ten. That I will find great colleagues again. It is not the first time this person came and speak to me in this way. And it is not the first time she has done this... a couple of people had this same encounter. I was encouraged to lodge a formal complain against her to my manager. I just mentioned it to my team leader first as my manager is currently away on holidays. Will see how things panned out in the next few days and weeks. There are some people who just plain crazy!

But in times like these, I am reminded of the wonderful people God has blessed me with..... :) I love my colleagues!!
