When you are stuck in the traffic for a good 3 hours, you have nothing else to do but to reflect on life. Music playing at the background. Pondering and reflecting on life. I know, you may say why 3 hours. When you have a crazy heavy rain, stupid drivers and trucks and peak hour traffic, this is what happens. Sometimes I wonder whether I will ever reach home.
I was thinking, why do we so often forget how great and amazing God is especially during good times? Why do we tend to 'forsake' Him or place everything else way before Him when everything seems to be going smoothly? It's easy to fall into the trap of complacency, self sufficient and even self indulgence. Yes, life is short. We should truly enjoy it to the fullest but when we begin to live our lives according to our way, then we realised everything we do becomes meaningless.
There has been so many politics happening at work. I used to think corporate was bad but education is way over that. It is a whole new level of politics. The world of academics and professional staff, the plotting, the union, the case put against different people, I just can't catch up. As much as I try not to get involved, it effects my day to day job. I believe in certain principles and I am not going to compromise that. I will do my best and help others which is one of my biggest passion.
I went over to see my little nieces last night. It's been a while since I saw them. I missed them so much. Hanna is so big now and she is very talkative. I asked her whether she's a good girl and she said 'YES'. Then I said are you a naughty girl and she said 'NO'. And then I asked her who's the naughty girl and she said, 'CHECHE'!! Hahahah.. Dana quickly said 'NOOOOOOOOOO, Hanna'!! There's something about our fallen nature of humanity. We like to point fingers and blame others. Reminds me why we need God so much in everything that we do...
10 more days to the US... Wohoooooooooo
