One more sleep - Hello USA!

It has been one of the most full on week for me. Trainings, meetings and lotsa of paperwork to go through. It's always the case when I'm about to take a holiday. But it's nice to know I will be missed. It's funny to see how people react when they hear that I'll be away for 3 weeks holiday.

I have been speaking to a few of the academics and they were telling me stories and giving me tips on what to do in US. One of them also reminded me to bring ammonium in case of any food poisoning. Hahaha.. he told me, you never know when you travel. When I sent out an email to everyone informing them that I will be on annual leave, there were heaps of replies back. Some even came to the extend of saying 'bye' to me and giving me a huge hug. One of the academics even told me he will 'die' in the 3 weeks when I am away... I assured him that he will be fine under the support of my other colleagues. I think it came to one point that I felt as though it's like a farewell! How funny! It's nice to know that I am loved and appreciated in my workplace.

I have packed up - all ready although I must say, I feel slightly less prepared. Somehow I feel like I haven't done enough research for this trip. Hehehe.. okie, as Yogi said, relax! Today I spent all morning and afternoon completing some work I brought back and did more research on our travels. I even went to the extend of finding laundry places in a few of the states that we're visiting. Holidays are fun but there are times when you just wished for the comfort of your home. Imagine 3 weeks without doing laundry - I will cry! Meh! So as prepared as I can be.. I've printed and filed all my notes. I even checked in everyone and printed their boarding pass. Gee - I do sound like a mum now....

Oh and guess what, my wardrobe is slightly more spacious now thanks to some giveaways! Yayyyyy... Anthropologie,UO, Victoria Secret, J Crew, Coach.....etc... here I come!!

Till you hear from me again... Maybe in 3 weeks time or if I managed to sneak a bit of time... :)
